The changing seasons ensure a different experience of the Forest-park during each period within the annual cycle of vegetation development. At the beginning of the vegetation period, the Forest-park is dominated by the first herbaceous spring plants, snowdrops and lungwort.
They are gradually replaced by yellow woodruff, goldenrod, hoofed hogweed, yellow comfrey, spotted dead nettle, leaves and fruits of the snowdrop, etc. In early spring, the sedge appears, dominating the ground layer of a large part of the Forest-park. At this time, fragrant violet, white violet and clematis bloom.
A little later, in April and May, flowering srijemuš densely covers the ground of certain parts of the forest in large groups. At this time of year, goat's eye, crow's eye, shepherd's needle, small wintergreen, forest strawberry also bloom, and in May, kaćunak (purple kaćunak, egg-shaped čopotac, hen).
April is marked by the scent of blooming sremza, and May by the scent of elderberry. In summer, forest glade and bahorica bloom, and in late summer and early autumn, the forest ground is dominated by hollow-toothed and sticky sage. In autumn, the fruiting bodies of a large number of mushrooms appear, and in forest glades, snowdrops also bloom.
